On Wednesday 11th of December, we will have the visit of Enrico Cannavo from the lab of Stavros Lomvardas at Columbia University.
He will give a seminar entitled: “Dissecting the molecular underpinnings of Schizophrenia” at 11am in amphi G1 ISFA.
Enrico's work aims at understanding how transcription is regulated during the development of an organism and how this regulation is affected by mutations or polymorphisms. In particular, he recently investigated how mutations in the histone methyltransferase SETD1A gene lead to the onset of Schizophrenia in mice: https://www-ncbi-nlm-nih-gov.insb.bib.cnrs.fr/pubmed/31606247
