Interactions between cells and the matrix components are critical for proper tissue formation and homeostasis. The objective of this project is to understand the molecular signalling pathways underlying specific collagen expression in muscle-tendon formation and interactions using the zebrafish model and morpholino- knockdown strategy. Two collagens are currently under investigation, the muscle basement membrane collagen XV and the myotendinous junction collagen XXII. | |||
