Chloé Béziat

I am a plant cell biologist which got fascinated by the brown algae ancestral model. I started my career by doing a Bachelor and Master in Microbiology and Plant biosciences in the university of Sciences of Toulouse. During this period I got interested in Cell Biology and Plant development. Therefore, I moved to Vienna in Austria where I did a PhD in the team of Jürgen Kleine-Vehn focused on the characterization of a new family of intracellular auxin carriers during growth transition in the plant model arabidopsis thaliana. I continued my career by doing a post doc in Lyon in the team of Yvon Jaillais where I discovered membrane based cell to cell lipid movement in arabidopsis roots. Nowadays I am doing a second post doc in IGFL in Lyon in the team of Bénédicte Charrier where I would like to understand the rules of cell division orientations in 2D and 3D in brown algae.
