Research Engineer - Development of CRISPR Technology in Brown Algae

 

Passionate about molecular biology and innovation, my goal within the CHARRIER team is to develop CRISPR technology in brown algae. Access to genomic editing in these organisms is a major advantage that, combined with the various tools available in our research team, will allow us to have a better understanding of the developmental strategies of brown algae.

  • Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics obtained in 2023

My doctoral project involved (i) characterizing the targets of orphan human snoRNAs through the development of a molecular biology method based on the formation of chimeric RNAs (ii) characterizing the pseudouridylation mechanism of H/ACA snoRNAs.

I complete my Ph.D. in the "small regulatory RNAs" team led by Tamás KISS at the MCD laboratory in Toulouse.

  • Master's Degree in Microbiology & Molecular obtained in 2019

During my Master's internship, I studied the role of the microRNA family 171 in establishing nitrogen-fixing symbiosis in Medicago truncatula.

This internship was conducted under the supervision of Jean-Malo Couzigou within the team of Guillaume Bécard at the LRSV laboratory in Auzeville Tolosane.
