Samir's team is hosting Dr Jeyaraney Kathirithamby from Oxford this week.

Jeya is a world-renowned specialist (entomologist) of Strepsiptera, bizarre insects referred as "twisted wing" parasitoids.

Jeya also recently wrote a book on a "forgotten woman in science" Maria Sybilla Merian, one of the first naturalists to observe insects directly and to beautifully describe metamorphosis (Maria Sybilla Merian was also an artist).
