- I am interested in the cellular and genetic developmental bases of an evolutionary innovation using water striders as a model. Using single-cell transcriptomics, in situ hybridisation and RNAi screens, I try to understand how gene activity and regulatory network at the single-cell level dictate the development of an evolutionary new structure from an ancestral set of cells.
